Our Approach

Six pillars of community-led conservation.

Every action is co-designed with the village. We bring training, documentation and resources — communities bring the knowledge, the land and the long-term care.

People's Biodiversity Registers

Documenting local flora, fauna, crops, and indigenous knowledge village-by-village under the Biological Diversity Act, 2002.

Biodiversity Management Committees

Training and capacity-building of 200+ BMCs to take ownership of local biological resources and benefit-sharing.

Native Plantation Drives

Fruit, medicinal and indigenous species planted with long-term maintenance plans led by Gram Sabhas.

Species & Habitat Documentation

Field surveys of birds, pollinators, wetlands and sacred groves with photo records and seasonal monitoring.

Seed & Traditional Crop Revival

Protecting native landraces, millets, and farmer seed systems through community seed banks.

Biodiversity Act Awareness

Workshops in Gram Sabhas and schools on rights, duties and the legal framework protecting India's biodiversity.

Forest wildlife

Our biodiversity work spans tribal belts of Wardha, Nagpur, Gadchiroli and neighbouring districts. We partner with Forest Department staff, panchayats, schools and women's self-help groups to make conservation a daily practice — not a one-day event.

  • Wardha district — BMC training & PBR preparation
  • Nagpur district — Tribal area plantation & awareness
  • Gadchiroli — Sacred grove and seed bank documentation
  • Schools — Eco-clubs and Biodiversity Day programs
